Waiting on Wednesday # 12

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine!

One of the books I've been anxiously awaiting is:

A lot has changed in the six months since Evie escaped from the International Paranormal Containment Agency with her shape-shifter boyfriend, Lend. She finally has the blissfully normal life she’s always dreamed of, including:
1) A real live high school
2) A perfectly ordinary after-school job
3) Her very own locker (and by the way, rusted metal is every bit as awesome as she imagined)
But Evie’s not-so-normal past keeps creeping up on her...and things get pretty complicated when you factor in:
1) A centuries-old, seriously decaying vampire stalker
2) A crazy faerie ex-boyfriend who is the perpetual bearer of really bad news
3) A major battle brewing between the faerie courts where the prize in question happens to be...Evie herself.

It's due out July 26th published by HarperTeen and is 352 pages. I know, I know, I wish the page length was a tad longer! Especially with everything that's supposed to be happening!
Evie's one of my favorite characters; she has guts, a sense of humor and more moxie then any teen I've read about lately. She's endearing, seemingly soft but deceptively tough!
So, yes, I am definitely looking forward to this book!

  1. Oh, I have the first book on my want list. :) I'm going to have to get there some day. :) Hope you enjoy this when you get it.

  2. I am so excited for this one too! Paranormalcy was one of my favorite reads last year. Great pick!

  3. I can't wait for this one either!! I loved Paranormalcy!!

  4. I thought Paranormalcy was one of the most original books. It had a great take on all things that go 'bump in the night' and a Kick-butt teen heroine.
Looking so forward to the next in the series, sounds like it's going to be pretty thrilling and exciting!

  5. I just finished Paranormalcy, and LOVED it! Can't wait for this one <3

  6. I don't think it'll let us down, Lindsay, if anything I think it'll be better :o]

  10. Great Choice! I love to find other Michigan Bloggers! We for sure should chat. I am in Oxford about a hour north of Detroit.

  11. Hey there, old follower just stopping by. This one looks pretty good and I love the synopsis, it's written in a cute and funny way, I hope there is more like that within the actual book. I know the synopsis is sometimes written by someone else though, so you'll have to let me know in your review!
