Waiting on Wednesday # 11

It's WOW time again! Time to see what our fellow blogger's are looking forward to and a great way to find some great books to add to our list of Summer Reads!

Wow is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine

Here's my WOW for the week!

NO ONE WANTS TO BE THIS TEACHER’S PET . . .

Everyone else is talking about Eastlake High’s gorgeous new math teacher, Mr. Beck, but Kaylee Cavanaugh has bigger things on her mind. Kaylee’s a banshee—her scream is a portent of death.

But the next scream might hit too close to home. Kaylee’s borrowed lifeline has almost run out.

Yeah—it’s a shock to her, too. So to distract herself from her own problems, Kaylee is determined to defend her school against the latest supernatural threat. That hot new teacher is really an incubus, who feeds from the desire of unsuspecting students. The only girls immune to his lure are Kaylee and Sabine, her boyfriend’s delinquent ex-girlfriend. Now the unlikely allies have to get rid of Mr. Beck…before he discovers they aren’t quite human either.

But Kaylee’s running out of time, and those who love her will do anything to save her life.

Complement of Rachel Vincent's Soul Screamers Blog

I am a huge fan of this series! Waiting until September 20,2011 just seems like forever so looks like I'll be entering some contests and harrassing whoever needs to be harrassed for an ARC of If I Die!

As far as the cover goes, it's a great cover but Kaylee looks like Miley Cyrus AKA Hannah Montana to me---ICK! Otherwise, I love the cover as long as I don't look to closely at Kaylee's face! Is it just me? I'd love to know what y'all think!

Can't wait to see what everyone else is WAITING ON :o}

  2. It's an awesome series. I got the prequel novella for free on my kindle. I was hooked from page one.
    There's just something about the series that I really like.

    Kaylee is a great role model-the concept is new and when Rachel started The Soul Screamers series, she was one of the first to be taking an interesting new twist away from the usual genre fare.

    I hope you start it soon and like it as much as I do :o]
