"Since today is April Fool's Day in the USA, what is the best prank you have ever played on someone OR that someone has played on you?"
I'm an RN and when I was working in the operating room in our small town hospital; it so happened that April Fools fell on a dual inventory/CEU day so a friend and I spent some of that day doing terrible things that were HILARIOUS! A few of those things that endeared us to our co-workers were:
- Chewed up Tootsie Rolls left strategically placed on the toilet seats and in the toilets
- KY jelly on the door handles
- KY Jelly in a certain unpleasant person's shoes (no harm, no foul-and it was just a teeny bit)
- Wore our scrubs backwards for an hour
- Only talked in pig Latin to each other sporadically throughout the day (that was a riot!)
Life's short---you need to have some fun when you can! This is something I know first hand :o(
Make sure to follow all the AWESOME bloggers and have fun hopping!
Q. What is the book that you really don't want to admit to loving??
That's a tough one! I'd say that it's probably my Dream Book. I get razzed all the time by my family and friends-except by two of my Besties-that I read too much into what dreams mean. So, I sneak it out more than I bring it out now!
I love that book. it's care-worn and it's dog-eared. I don't always take it literally, I just think it's kind of cool and I believe that when we are asleep our sub-concious does work out our real-life problems and yes, I think we come up with answers sometimes when we're asleep and if we're not really open to listening to or remembering our dreams then we don't come to the answers as quickly as we could've.
I like to keep a notebook by my bed and right my dreams in when I wake up. No matter what time.
I've been sick with a really rare Central Nervous System Disease for awhile and didn't dream for a long time because of all the medications I'm on, I also didn't sleep, either-Kind of hard to dream when you don't sleep :o] but that's unhealty, obviously. Glad things are starting to level out---finallly! Even starting to walk to the bathroom by myself! Who knows, maybe next week I'll be able to walk to the Family Room!
So, that's my book that I don't openly admit to loving! In fact, it's in our family room right now where I can't get to it and I know if I ask someone to bring it to me they'll laugh and give me a hard time! I'll be walking better soon, though and will get it myself!
Happy Hopping Everyone and Happy April Fools Day! Did you Prank any one today?
Remember to Keep on Hopping!
Such fun stories! Happy hopping! :-)

I love humor and playing around with my friends. Without that life's not fun!
ReplyDeleteAs I said, the 3 H's: No Hurt (feelings), Harm or Humiliation (tears or won't leave the house). It's always in good fun.
I have a really dry sense of humor, also and I think online it doesn't always come across as intended. Only bad thing about the internet! :o(
Wow, your practical joke resume is sooo much more impressive than mine! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletethanks, for sharing these. Stop and see mine and my giveaways.

Hahah, those are hilarious pranks! I wish I was that creative. :)
ReplyDeleteLife's gotta have a little fun in it. Working in the OR is extremely stressful, when we get a day to do inventory and CEU's we tend to cut up a bit!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by. I enjoyed everyone's story's!
Happy Friday Kristi! The chewed up tootsie roll thing is hilarious. I would have died if I'd walked in and seen them! Hilarious:) Hope you have a great weekend!

That dream book sounds really neat! Hhmmm. I've never looked into what my dreams are telling me. Maybe I'm afraid to find out. LOL. I could see my family giving me a hard time for reading something like that too.

Kristi, you are too funny. I loved the tootsie roll one, I'm still laughing. I really like what you have done with the side bars. It looks really great. I want to put the badge/widgets for some of my favorite "teams" on my blog too. I agree, love Luc and Kian. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, goodness, chewed Tootsie Rolls in the bathroom, I'll have to be careful about who I share that prank with. I'm just giggling up a storm over here since they are just harmless pranks. :) Happy hopping and have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteChewed tootsie roll on the toilet, that's a great idea! I'm not one to play pranks but that's a good thing because I'm not very creative.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Fun stories. I think people need someone with a good sense of humor when they're in the ER. That place is stressful enough as it is!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of a story my mom told me about one of her coworkers when she was a nurse working in a hospital. The coworker had to analyze urine and feces and was so tired of working in that section and wanted a quick change in station. So she created fake poop using a chocolate bar and labeled it under a fake name. Then made a big scene about how if she didn't get changed stations then she was going to eat poop. So she did. The fake one. she was changed stations in that hour. haha.
