Ghost Town--Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine

The fab four Glass House team is in it fangs deep again!

Finally, Claire is finding relative peace and safety--well, at least as much peace and safety possible in Morganville. Claire is reveling in her relationship with Shane and loving the life with her BFF’s and roomies, Eve-Goth Girl extraordinaire and Swoon-worthy Michael, gifted guitar playing newbie vamp and owner of the Glass House where they live.

The peace and happiness is short-lived (pun intended) and once again Claire finds herself caught in the middle of a hair-raising fiasco that leaves her fighting not only for her life and that of her friends but for the entire town, including those she feels threatened by.

Claire and Myrnin, my favorite whack-job fang even though he scares the bejeebers out of me, have finally fixed the replacement for Ada sans the living brain. It isn’t long before Claire notices some pretty bizarre behavior, even for Morganville, and it’s getting worse, day by day. Before too long Morganville is more dangerous than it’s ever been and it’s up to Claire to stop it before it's too late. What will happen to Claire if Morganville reverts back to the days of old where she doesn't exist?

It was fun to watch Rachel redevelop the characters to match the plot of the story. There were times that my heart broke for Claire & Shane , funny humorous moments, as always with Eve and times when I knew they were all meant to be together just as they are-despite the change in circumstance--the bond between them all is a hard one to break. The only time I’m disappointed in a Morganville story is when it ends!
