SIRENZ by CHARLOTTE BENNARDO & NATALIE ZAMAN

THE FAERYS VIEW

Charlotte Bennardo and Natalie Zaman, Best friends in real life got together and wrote a hilarious story about two roommates that couldn't be more different than cats and dogs---and they fight just like them, too! There are few books I've read that have had me laughing out loud like Sirenz did but in turn, the story has a dark side that kept me turning pages to see just what would happen to this unlikely pair next!

While Meg and Shar are fighting over a pair of Red Shoes, the unthinkable happens but luckily, Hades-the Lord of the Underworld steps in with an offer that they really can’t refuse. When Meg and Shar are caught up in a deal with Hades himself, they don't anticipate the obstacles that will get in the way of their 'deal'. They have until the end of winter vacation to bring in a famous yet reclusive designer who Hades says is eluding him and only the two girls, with the power of Sirens that he has bestowed upon them, can bring him in. Easier said than done! Being a Siren is fantastic-at first-but it has unlikely consequences that Hades just happened to leave out. While Meg can entice men with her voice and Shar with her eyes, it is the intent behind their use. Each time they use their Siren powers, they start to look gain more of the traditional Siren appearance. The real Sirens, birds, complete with feathers, beaks and talons. Yeah, not a pretty sight!

Sirenz reminded me of a Shakespearean fiasco! Hilarious at times, especially when the unexpected happens, say for instance feathers sprouting in odd places in the traditional mythological siren way to well known goddesses popping up with less than honorable intent. There is so much more to this book but to tell anymore would ruin it for the reader! The FAERY SAYS: READ THIS BOOK!

Sirenz is a treasure! A fun read that is so very entertaining, mythological fun and romance and let us not forget the lessons learned by all involved! I had a great time reading Sirenz and cannot wait for the sequel to come out! I know the Gods and Goddesses aren’t quite through with our girls just yet but that’s okay! I already miss Meg and Shar!
