Armchair BEA: Nurturing Relationships

Talking about relationships I've formed with different bloggers is easy! I've made so many good friends!
There's one friend that I've made who I firmly believe is my SFAM (Sister from another mother). That person would be Heather from Buried in Books. When she and I met at Goodreads over a controversial topic we became instant friends. It didn't take long before we were e-mailing each other and then calling each other on the phone-Good thing we both have unlimited long distance because some of those calls were Marathon Long!
Heather is kind, compassionate and the best friend anyone could ask for.
She has this gentle southern accent that just draws you in and and makes you feel comfortable right away. There isn't anything she doesn't know about me and vice versa. When one of us is having a bad day, the other is there to support and listen. When advice is needed, it is given but more importantly there is that connection between us that knows when to just listen and when to offer advice. The same goes when one of us is having a great day :o]
My friendship with my SFAM, Heather, is one of the best things Blogging has done for me!

I've also made friends with many authors, mostly through forums or twitter. There's three friends that I adore who I think are down to earth and so Blogger friendly!
Josephine Angelini who sent me a signed ARC of Starcrossed because she was worried about me reading the book on the computer because it is hard for me because of my illness. She is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met. Starcrossed is FanFaeryTastic and a One-Sit-Read! I've read it 3 times!
Kiki Hamilton-Author of The Faerie Ring, who sent me an ARC for my Birthday along with some amazing bookmarks, all because she knew how badly I wanted to read this book. The Faerie Ring was also FanFaeryTastic and a One-Sit-Read! Also read 3 times! I think it's time to send my review to Kiki!
Amber Argyle who chats with me about the symbolism in her cover and about Witch Song and talks about the next installment and actually asked for advice and took mine! Silly Woman-Teehee!

So, between the wonderful Bloggers I've met-So many of them-and the wonderful Authors plus so much more.

Blogging has been a journey that I would never trade. It's a journey of self-discovery, exploring yourself and others and courage to put yourself out there for the world to see.

  2. Melissa, you're definitely one of the people I've met here that means a lot to me! I think you're one of the sweetest most down to earth people I've met in this 'world' and you're defintely a big part of my blogging journey-you've been on my blog list since about day one, LOL!

  3. Aww thank you! You are to kind. :) I have to say I do enjoy your visits and visiting here. :) I even stop by when I think I've missed posts just to make sure I didn't. I know I don't always make it to all posts, but I try. You have been a wonderful friend here in the blogging community. :)

Thank you again for all the kindness and kind words.

  4. Hi, Kristi! I admire the connections that you have made with authors! I feel so weird emailing or tweeting most of them, and I think I always will be a little more reserved in regards to that. Bloggers a little easier - just mention a rave worthy book, and the ice is broken :)

  5. Kristi-
Thanks for mentioning me! I tried to post to your blog several times this week but Blogger is not letting me right now. It won't let me sign in and is registering me as Anonymous! I AM NOT ANONYMOUS! I am your best friend! You said so and you're mine!! I agree with everything you said in your post. And when you did your first post on Armchair BEA I wanted to let you know- Next year we are going to be dancing down the aisles-TOGETHER!!!

  6. LOL, SFAM, you came up as your Blog name this time! I left you a VM, call me!

Yes, we will be dancing down the aisles with our signed copies and swag, pictures of our fav authors and tons of great memories! Of course we'll be hitting the coffee shops, eating New York Pizza and Coneys, too!

I'm still stuck in bed, dang it! The weather here isn't helping along with some other things-more injections by DH this am were joyful-not, at least he didn't hit the bone this time, LOL! Poor guy, good thing I have a high pain tolerance!

So, yes, next year it is! No matter what!

I'm still having trouble with my computer so I have to go and see if Windows Diagnostics will help. My DVD/CD rom isn't working either so I can't reinstall Windows Vista. It's definitely a Windows issue with one of the updates. So, if I didn't reply to any ABEA's today, I'm so sorry!
    Wish me luck!

  7. Aw, Kristi, right back at ya! You're still in bed? I thought you were doing better? :/

Manga: It wierds me out that people are intimidated by me. If I told you how boring and scatterbrained I am, you wouldn't be intimidated. I promise.
