Do you judge a book by it's cover?
COVER LOVER all the way! I adore a beautiful cover as I do any art! I don't let it dictate what I read, though!
If the backcover summary or descriptions I read don't pique my interest, I won't buy it just because the cover appeals to my aesthetic senses!
Stopping by from the hop! Questions up now!

Jessica@a GREAT read
Thanks, BB!
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way!
I totally agree with your answer. I love the cover to be appealing to me, but if the description is something that won't interest me, then I won't even bother with it- no matter how awesome the cover is.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and for following!
We seem to have the same interest in books so I'll be stopping by often;)
Happy FF!!
Glad to hear it, Jamie! Same back atcha!
ReplyDeleteI'm working my backwards on the linky list, lol. I like it!
Great Answer...I completely agree.
ReplyDeleteHAHA, * high five* for the cover lovers.

Thanks for commenting (:
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your answer - I love cover art, but of course I'm not going to read or buy a book because I like the cover - I only read a book if the synopsis interests me, too.
I don't always buy a book with a pretty cover, but it will catch my eye over one I don't like any day. I've also been frustrated when a pretty cover didn't really match the story. I'm already a follower. My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews
ReplyDeleteHopping back! I've learned to look into the book a bit more instead of impulse buying just because of the cover but a good cover still grabs my attention in the first place.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm returning the favor and the follow. :) I completely agree with you, no matter how gorgeous the cover, what's on the inside is what counts! Thank you for the complements on my blog! I love your header, it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteNew follower stopping by for the hop! Thanks for stopping by Release Notes and I added the question to my post!

Same here. If the storyline doesn't wow me, I won't buy the pretty cover.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, sometimes my love for the cover can be just, especially if it gives me a hint as to what it's about. Then I'm liking taking the book to the register! (But, still on the safe side I do read the back. Likely on the way to the register!)
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a GREAT weekend!
For me, covers are only good for initial attraction. After that, I read bloggers' reviews to decide if I want to read it or not!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by! New follower :)
What an adorable blog! Love the design.
ReplyDeleteGood covers just make books so much more appealing, don't they?
Thanks for stopping by -- new follower!
I love a good cover too. It will make me pick up a book I might not otherwise pick up or know about. But I won't skip a book I've heard good things about because it's cover is not great.
ReplyDeleteMegan @ Read It, See It
Ditto!:D
ReplyDeleteI love pretty covers and any kind of art too (since I'm a photographer and everything), but if the synopsis doesn't get my interest, I won't pick up the book - even though it breaks my heart to leave that beautiful cover on the shelf!LOL

It's amazing yet not surprising how many of us are Cover Lovers.
ReplyDeleteIt's human nature to be drawn to pretty things and book covers are no exception!
I think that to buy a book without examining the content is pretty brave but personally I don't have that kind of money to waste! I am drawn to the pretty covers but I read the synopsis first and I rely on my fellow blogger's reviews and input, as well. Authors play a large role, too.
I'm also an Indie fan and I've read some amazing books that have so-so covers.
I guess that the old adage "You can't judge a bookby it's cover" is true in more than one way and it's wise to follow.
I'm so glad to see everyone, New Followers and Old followers.
TGIF!
Hi, this is my first time to participate in The Friday Follow My Blog Hop-A lot of the 500 or so blogs I do follow join in every week so I thought why not try it-I will happily return all follows

Hi-I am very glad we are now mutual followers-by the way I recently posted on a great Irish story about fairies-"The Child Stolen by Fairies" by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu.
ReplyDeleteBook covers really help lure us into the right direction but synopses help us decide too :D

Brush Up On On Your Reading
I'm a cover-lover or cover slut as well. I just can't help it :P Thanks for the follow ;)
ReplyDeleteHi there! A little late hopper and a new follower stopping by. :)
ReplyDeleteJust have to say I absolutely adore your blog! So cute! Love it.
And I completely agree with your answer. It's basically what I said myself. :) My FF can be found here!
Im a follower now of yours! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteNew Follower hopping by to say hi...I am a sucker for a pretty cover, if the cover is pretty and the back of the book interests me I'm sold! Happy Reading =o)
ReplyDeleteI am the biggest cover freak!!! If there is a pretty cover, I will pretty much read it immediately, which has been my downfall in the past. I've finally figured out that big publishing companies can slap a pretty cover on anything, because they have the money for it. I wait for reviews now. hahaha :)
